Hi I have been trying to feng shui my bedroom and I have purchased many books and other things, but there just seems to be too many rules I cant grasp it all. I just want to know what colors/energies to put in each directions of the room. Is there a good source anyone can give me to get a laymans guide to feng shui?

My mom has fake plants, trees, flowers all over her house and its the house I grew up in and I never was really comfortable there. Its the one with the white sand, rake,and rocks. I really want one for my desk at work because I heard it is a great relaxer and helps for a stress free enviroment. I just do not want to pay the 30.00 for something like this. have any idea’s on how too make it for cheap?
